This map was published on November 1, 1995 by the Meadview Chamber of Commerce and the MCA provided it to me.

After 25 years in Meadview, I finally know where the various Units are.

Since every Unit has different CC&Rs and even lots in the same Unit can have different CC&Rs, with some in the MCA (Home Owner Association) and some not, get ready to discover whether you are allowed to have chickens, to hang your clothes on a clothesline, and whether you have too many unrelated people in your household, to name just a few restrictions.

And of course, read all about the Architectural Committee and their asinine requirements, on top of Mohave County rules and regulations.

New in 2024:  The MCA claims that shipping containers are NOT allowed under the CC&Rs.

New in 2025:  MCA Director Sharon Baur terrorizes residents living in campers, falsely stating that Mohave County does not allow permanent living in campers.

Do you really want to live here?

Meadview is home to many different people.

Mostly Whites, retirees, and a mix of wealthy, new rich, business people, telecommuters, middle class,  poor, sick, disabled, vets, brain-damaged (rampant PTSD), alcoholics, drug addicts, thieves, MAGAs, gun nuts, psychopats, and sociopaths… and many combinations thereof.

I’m likely the only socialist, treehugger, antifascist, antiracist, and immigrant-loving do-gooder.  I enjoy helping others avoid often costly and sometimes deadly mistakes, such as moving to Meadview.   I love the Joshua Tree desert, but Dolan Springs or Yucca would have been a much better location for me.

Meadview is not the upscale, exclusive community envisioned by the imbeciles who created and continue to worship the ridiculous CC&Rs.  The promised marina and golf course never materialized, and sadly, many were deceived into purchasing lots in the 80s and 90s.  Lots were $5k in 2000, and they’re $5k now.  Home prices skyrocketed in recent years, but now the market is dead and prices are coming down rapidly.

From the Chamber of Commerce Map:

Meadview, Arizona is located 66 miles North of Kingman.   A view of Lake Mead is evident from certain high points of the area.  Thus the name MEADVIEW.  Lake Mead is a man made lake that was formed by the strategic placement of Hoover dam to control the untamed Colorado River. It is also the largest man made lake in the United States.

The town of Meadview was originally  developed by Rivcor in the early 1960’s. since 1963 when the remaining lots were purchased by Meadview Co., the new developers, the town has increased its population from approximately 200 residents to over 1500 present day residents.  The Meadview Area Chamber of Commerce was organized in 1988 by the interested businesses and residents of Meadview to inform other newcomers to the area of the growth potential and the serene way of life they could also enjoy.

We hope you enjoy your visit while you are here and if you desire more information, please visit your Chamber businesses who are always happy to be of service.
